Le Campuget Syrah Viognier by Château Campuget, France, 2017

'Wild Air' by Hannes Storm, Sauvignon Blanc, 2016, 13%
A Sauvignon Blanc, but not as you may know it. Since landing on our shelves it has become an instant favourite of Urchin customers! There were only 2500 bottles filled of this small batch wine, so it's brilliant value for money.
Sauvignon Blanc is not commonly planted in South Africa but the winemaker Hannes Storm gave up a tiny piece of his land to experiment with the vines and has been rewarded with an exceptional wine that has so much depth of seductive flavour.
Energentic, dry and minerally, not the usual enthusiastically punchy Sauvignon Blanc! Spring blossom, fresh pear, honeysuckle whilst retaining crisp acidity - a real winner of a bottle. Perfect with family and friends on a sunny afternoon, by itself or with a plate of fresh seafood.
Country/Region: South Africa
Grape: Sauvignon blanc
Food pairing: Goats cheese, roasted vegetables, roast chicken
ABV: 13 % vol
Jumilla Red Gold Label by Juan Gill, Spain, 2016
The 'younger brother' to the Silver Label by Juan Gill and equally as popular in the shop! Just as the Silver label, the juice is made from the Monastrell grape but spends 4 months in oak as opposed to 12, so has riper fruit flavours and is more adaptable to a wider range of foods.
This flies out in the shop as it is such easy drinking wine that will not break the bank. It's our 'go to' for mid week wines...
