As of August 2018, Urchin will be opening the pop-up kitchen. Every month or two, a different chef cooking a different cuisine will be taking over the kitchen at Urchin. No longer will you be craving variety in choices of eating out up in Cliftonville.

For December, our beloved Annie Nichols, otherwise known as ‘Hot Meals Now’, will be taking the reins in the Urchin Kitchen.

In a festive build up, Annie will be teasing us into the Christmas spirit gently and warmly. With stews, French onion soup, pates, cannoli. She’s got so many treats!


Additionally, on Sunday the 9th & Sunday 16th December, we will be hosting a very special ‘12 Days of Christmas’ feast. Whereby food theatrics are sure to take centre stage as Annie works her magical culinary spells, paired with wines and other alcoholic delights from us.

We are so excited to welcome the duo, ‘Scotch + Ginger’ otherwise known as Margates wonderful Lisa Jayne Harris & Duncan to Urchin for the whole of November!

TACOS! Yes, that’s right, tacos! Arguably the best communal food and a bloody good challenge for us to pair wines to.

Pickled Cod tacos, chicharrones, drunken beans, braised pork taco, fish ‘n’ chip taco, salsa macha for days and the very special Walpole bay rice featuring homemade sea salt and dehydrated seaweed (it’s out of this world), apple crumble taco and much more....
